Premiere:
Swaré - Gatsby
Words by Tom Lowe
Friday 28th February, 2020
Today we’ve been given the great privilege of exclusive access to Swaré’s latest suave-as-hell funk-pop party banger ‘Gatsby’ - your priceless ticket to the most indulgent house party in town.
As soon as Swaré’s slick new track drops, you’re immediately hit with the overwhelming urge to stop being so uncool. As ‘Gatsby’ strolls on into your ears, you’ll get the feeling you’re on the red carpet to your own exclusive premiere, and damn you look good.

Meandering between pop, hip-hop and dance, with an almost G-funk inspired under-layer, 'Gatsby' is an extravagant party anthem. Irked by Sydney’s 3am chastity belt, it isn’t surprising that Swaré has had to go back to Fitzgerald’s classic novel to find party inspiration. But inspo he did find, and goddamn the result is fun.

‘Gatsby’ sits on a silver platter of production, created in tandem with producer Themba Thompson from Aikonawema and The Khanz. The vocals are promiscuous, the melting bass line is from funk heaven, and the gangbuster vocals are an inspired choice that has managed to bottle up a party atmosphere perfectly.

Thank you Swaré for this, I’ll never get FOMO again.

Groove out to 'Gatsby' above, and follow Swaré on Facebook to keep up to date with where the party is heading next.
