Chymes

Where do we know you from?
Kiersten: You may know Cameron from the first Harry Potter film, he was actually casted as the original Dumbledore but he kept replacing his lines with lyrics from John Mayer’s first album.

What do you do with yourself?
Kiersten: We make dreamy, chilled tunes that take you off into another dimension!

What track will you unquestionably get down to whenever it comes on?
Kiersten: Ariana Grande’s song 'Into You'.
Cam: 'Senorita' by Justin Timberlake

Thoughts on time travel?
Kiersten: Sounds great to me, just as long as it doesn’t screw up the timeline that is supposed to happen. I’m more into teleportation though. Imagine teleporting to another country!
Cam: Yeah it would get real interesting if there was alternate timelines! We could manipulate them to find the time to write an album!!!

As a kid, what TV show did you always find yourself watching on sick days?
Kiersten: I usually watched whatever mum had on, like 'Bold and the Beautiful' or 'Ready, Steady, Cook!/ but the kid's shows I watched was 'That’s So Raven'.
Cam: I would probably be playing Runescape or the original World of Warcraft if I had a sick day like the good little nerd I am hehehe.

What’s something you said you didn’t do but you totally did?
Kiersten: Oh jeez I don’t know... I’m an open book and have no shame lol. I’ll tell you anything!
Cam: Had a house party as a teenager when my mum went away for the weekend. I was caught out when she found broken glass in the garden and an invitation to the party on the front lawn. 🙁

What’s your perfect Sunday?
Kiersten: If it’s not making music it’s 100% playing The Sims or watching YouTube. And preferably it’s a rainy day too.
Cam: A nice little beach run followed by making music and some sneaky gaming.

Tuva Finserås

Where do we know you from?
You know me from Norway, triple j Unearthed and the two jiu jitsu classes I attended close to Flinders St.

What do you do with yourself?
I play the piano and guitar, listen to music and create music. Then sometimes I do activities with residents in an aged care facility.

Talk us through the last weird dream you had.
When I have a weird dream I find it impossible to explain them. Last night I dreamt something that included drowning and a police investigation. It doesn’t sound weird, but it was. I’ve got hundreds of dreams where I’m in an airplane.

Favourite song that makes you feel like it's summer and not so bloody cold.
‘From the Sun’ by Unknown Mortal Orchestra. It’s a beautiful song. Although it’s called ‘From the Sun’ and not ‘To the Sun’, listening to it feels like you’re IN the sun.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?
I’d love to be able to talk to animals and understand everything they say and no one else would understand what we were talking about. Just imagine being friends with a bear!

Which five people would you have for dinner?
Michael Jackson, Ellen deGeneres, Gaten Matarazzo, Samwell Tarly and one of my friends.

What’s your perfect Sunday?
My perfect Sunday is having a little sleep in, making a nice cup of coffee and doing my own thing. Going for a surf with some friends during the day, getting home, make some more coffee and do my own thing again. Make some music.

Boykie

Where do we know you from?
We released an EP last year entitled Still Hiding on Spotify and Apple Music! Or potentially our recent ‘6 Music Videos in 6 Weeks’ campaign that just came to a close? If not you can check it out on our Facebook page or Youtube channel. Yewwww, shameless plug.

What do you do with yourself?
We make indie grunge from Perth, WA! However, I (Sam) recently jumped ship to Melbourne, VIC… sadly leaving the other boys behind as we travel on our own musical journeys for the foreseeable future.

How’s your diet?
Absolute chaos. I wish I could give you a decent run down of my day-to-day dietary routine but it’s hardly a routine… usually consists of some combination of burgers, pizza, chicken, kebabs and a whole lot of pasta. I really do need help, luckily I just moved in with 3 vegans haha so they have been very good for me. I haven’t eaten this well since I moved out of home.

Tell us about your first kiss (or lie, we won’t know).
I was 15, had been going out with my first girlfriend for a couple of weeks and we went to Cottesloe beach in Perth. It was interrupted by an unexpected and very strong wave... we both got a face/mouthful of salt water, it was hilarious. So worth it.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done lately?
Well the other week I took the tram the wrong direction and didn’t realise at all for the whole trip. The driver had to tell me that we had arrived at the last stop, he looked at me like I was from another planet… nah mate, just Perth. It was the right tram but I went in the complete opposite direction to where I lived. I was so sure of myself I didn’t even check my phone once. Bad mistake. I still don’t understand trams, they are so so great but bloody hell, are they hard to wrap your head around when you’ve been living in the most isolated city in the world all your life!

What’s your perfect Sunday?
Listening to music, putting on a film or a TV series, bit of writing, bit of playing guitar… ideally in front of a fireplace. Then go and hang with my friends, probably in front of another screen let’s be honest, but if we can get out of the house then all the better!
