With frontperson Zak Fleisher having just made the move from Perth to Melbourne, expanding the band from trio to a quintet and changing their name, Interstellar Gator get going like a bull at a gate or an Alligator at a guy in a river with debut single ‘Stress Free Consultancy’. As soon as you hit the play button, the Gators hit you with a stadium sized riff and some big, groove heavy drumming that immediately sets the scene for what the next three and a half minutes have in store.

Without laying off the intensity, the band groove relentlessly around Zak Fleisher’s alluring vocal quality - that is, until things shift with a mould breaking slap bass moment to set up the song’s big ending, absolutely living up to the “explosive, riff heavy and funky” sound that Interstellar Gator say they have been working towards.

With an appropriately “out of this world" debut album in the works, ‘Stress Free Consultancy’ gives an exciting glimpse into the nebula of possibility in front of Interstellar Gator.
